이번에 읽은 책은 킨들에서 상위권에 올라온 미스테리 겸 스릴러 소설입니다.

​

일류 고급호텔에서 벌어지는 이야기이고 줄거리가 맘에 끌려 읽게 되었어요~^^

줄거리

Molly(25years old), the maid of Grand hotel,works at the Regency Grand Hotel.

The day after her granny passed away, she went to work and found the daed on the bed in a suite room at the hotel. The one who died was Charles Black, a conglomerate that stayed at the hotel for a long time with his second wife, Giselle Black. They married 2 years ago but he already has 3 grown-up children from ex-wife. He and his ex are suing each other about Black businese shares.

25살인 몰리는 레전시 그랜드 호텔에서 청소를 하고 있다. 그녀의 할머니가돌아가셨던 그 다음날, 몰리는 한 호텔 방을 청소하러 들어 갔다가 침대위에 누워있는 한 시체를 발견한다.

죽은 사람은 두번째 부인 지젤과 호텔에서 오래 묵고 있던 대기업 거물인 찰스 블랙이었다. 그 둘은 2년전 재혼했는데 이미 첫번째 부인에게서 3명의 다자란 아이들도 두고 있었다. 죽기 전에는 그와 그 첫번째 부인은 회사 주식을 사이에 두고 서로를 고소중이었다.

Molly have has a good relationship with Giselle,the 2nd wife of the last Charles Black, but the day that Mr. Black died, she felt that Giselle was oddly nervous and upset.

Later, Molly let lead to station and give a witness statement at the scene. Until then,

olly and Giselle used to talk a lot together like close friends, but Molly remembered that Black was cheating on Giselle and that she had blue and yellow mark around her neck, but she didn't answer at all when the detective asked about Giselle.

몰리는 죽은 찰스 블랙의 두번째 부인인 지젤과 친하게 지냈는데 그 사람이 죽었던 당일 몰리는 지젤이 평소와는 다르게 초조해하던 모습을 떠올린다.

후에, 몰리는 죽은 현장을 본 증인으로서 경찰서에 가서 증언을 하게 되는데 그때까지 몰리와 지젤은 친한 친구처럼 같이 얘기도 많이 나누곤 했는데 블랙이 바람을 피우는 사실과 지젤 목에 파란 멍이 들어 있던 것을 기억했지만 형사가 지젤에 관해 묻는 말에는 일절 답을 하지 않았다.

One day, Molly went to the vacant hotel room for cleaning, she came across two behemoths and Juan and Rhodney, who Molly usually have in mind.

And a curious bag on the bed..On that night, Rhodney asked for a date with Molly and he said that want to know a vacant hotel room every night for Juan who is illegal alien for a place to sleep. Molly likes him so she accepted his offering.

어느날, 몰리는 빈 호텔방에 청소를 하러 들어갔다가 거대한 몸집을 가진 깡패 둘과 동료직원인 후안, 평소 맘에 두고 있던 로드니를 마주치게 된다. 그리고 수상한 가방하나가 침대 위에 놓여 있는데..그날 밤 로드니는 몰리에게 데이트 신청을 하고 불법체류자인 후안의 거주를 돕기 위해 매일밤 빈 호텔 방을 자신에게 알려달라고 한다. 로드니를 마음에 두고 있던 몰리는 그 제안을 수락한다.

However, Molly was betrayed by Giselle and Rodney, who were considered true friends, and was driven to murder. Most of the employees turned their backs on Molly, and only Juan and Mr. Preston, the gatekeeper, were left next to her. Will Molly be able to get rid of the murderer's false accusation?

하지만 몰리는 친구라 여겼던 지젤과 로드니에게 배신을 당하고 영락없이 살인자로 몰리고 만다. 대부분의 직원들이 몰리에게서 등을 돌리고 옆에는 후안과 문지기인 프레스턴 씨만 남은 상황. 몰리는 과연 살인자의 누명을 벗을 수 있을까?

느낀점

I look back on the people around me. A person who felt like a friend and lover may actually be close to deceive me or someone who felt like an enemy may help me when needed. It gives guidance that people should be evaluated from an objective perspective and learns that if they are not your own people, you should not reveal your detailed stories.

​

옆에 있는 사람들을 돌아보게 된다. 친구이자 연인이라 느꼈던 사람이 사실은 단지 나를 기만하려고 가까이에 있을 수 도 있고 적이라 느꼈던 사람이 필요할 때 도와주기도 한다. 사람을 볼때 객관적인 시선으로 평가해야 한다는 지침을 주며 확실히 내사람이 아닐 경우엔 자신의 속 깊은 얘기는 털어놓지 않아야 한다는 교훈을 얻게 된다.
